Ratio Spread is an advanced options strategy created by combining buy and sell option contracts at separate strike prices where the quantities bought and sold are different (hence the term Ratio).

Ratio spreads may be created by using either Call option Contracts or Put option Contracts. They provide either limited profits or limited losses in one direction depending on whether more Short option Contracts are used or more long Contracts are used.
