Short Synthetic Call is a strategy whereby a Future Short position is combined with a Short Put option contract, thereby limiting the maximum Profit but widening the range which remains profitable.

Since the returns from a this strategy are similar in nature to a Short Call option contract, this strategy is referred to as the Synthetic Short Call.
